2F - The Dr. Inazo Nitobe Corner

Back

Dr. Nitobe corner The museum has dedicated the second floor of the museum to Dr. Inazo Nitobe.  Dr. Nitobe was the third son of Jujiro Nitobe and took an active role in Japan's educational system and international relations from the Meiji Era to the beginning of the Showa Period.  The exhibit includes a portion of Dr. Nitobe's book collection, as well as other memorabilia and informative exhibits.  Dr. Nitobe's collection of books formed the basis of the Nitobe Private Bunko, which in turn gave birth to this museum.
