Tezukuri Mura - Risokyo



 
Tezukuri Mura – Risokyo is a huge garden open during the height of the summer flowering season. Over 200,000 irises, lupines, and alpine plants, among other flowering plants, bloom one after another from June to July. The Riso Tei, the on-site restaurant, offers wappa tori meshi, rice with chicken steamed in a special wooden box, and teiuchi suisha soba, buckwheat noodles handmade from flour ground at the garden's water-powered mill.
  • Open: Everyday from May 1 to July 31 and Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays from August 1 to October 31* (*If you want to visit on weekdays, please contact us.)
  • Operating Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
    Closed: No holidays from May to July. Weekdays from August to October.
