Nitobe Memorial Museum



 


Nitobe Memorial Museum is home to exhibits on the reclamation history of the Sanbongi Plateau (presently Towada City), including exhibits on the area's pioneer leader NITOBE Tsuto and his great efforts to bring water to the plateau. Also exhibits are the cherished items of Dr. NITOBE Inazo, who contributed to international friendship and women’s education. Dr. NITOBE has appeared on the five thousand yen bill, and he enjoys wide international recognition as the author of Bushido.
  • Operating Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    Closed: Mondays (except national holidays)
    and December 29 – January 3.
  • Entrance Fee: Adults 210 yen (*178 yen),
                        Children through high school 52 yen (*42 yen)
